Hendy Mazda is excited to announce the introduction of the new Mazda6

After the release of the all-new Mazda6, Hendy Motors participated in a nationwide launch event over the weekend of 26-27 January. Now that the launch is officially over, Hendy Mazda is pleased to invite you to book a test drive of the new Mazda6 in Hampshire, the most exciting new family car on the market.
 
The design of the new Mazda6 was inspired by the CX-5 SUV, and will be adopted for upcoming Mazda models. Called “KODO – Soul of Motion”, the new look features a striking front end, with deeply contoured headlamps set into a front grille with an aerodynamic wing design. The overall shape has been redesigned, also, to give it a more streamlined, smooth outline. This design also aids the handling of the car, not least because of the extremely light materials used in the construction of the body. Subsequently, the 6 is quick off the mark, and handles beautifully around corners.
 
On the inside, there is a surprising amount of technology packed into a spacious, luxurious cabin. All the controls – from the Multi Commander to the backlit instrument panels – have been arranged in a way that is unobtrusive, but at the same time readily accessed. The seats can be folded down to create extra storage space, so whether you’re transporting family or bulky cargo, the 6 will be able to handle it easily.
 
The safety features of the new Mazda6 are comprehensive, including several airbags and driver support functions such as Smart City Brake Support. Special mention must go to the Rear Vehicle Monitoring System, which won the Euro NCAP Advanced award at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. This system allows the driver to be aware of vehicles approaching the car from behind, and is part of the reason that the Mazda6 has been awarded a Euro NCAP safety rating of five stars.
 
On both available versions of the Mazda6 (Saloon and Tourer), a selection of engines is offered, either 2.0-litre petrol or 2.2-litre diesel. The highest top speed is 139mph, in the diesel saloon, but all versions of the 6 will take you from 0-60mph in 10.5 seconds or less. There is also a choice of six-speed automatic or manual gearbox, and SKYACTIV technology actively reduces CO2 emissions and increases fuel economy. It’s thanks to this that the 6 won the What Car? Car of the Year 2013 Ultra-low-carbon award.
