Clevedon Mazda is excited to announce the introduction of the Mazda6 to its line

After a hugely successful launch weekend at the end of January, the revolutionary all-new Mazda6 has been released to the public, and Clevedon Mazda is proud to participate in the introduction of the latest family car by Mazda. Now that the official launch has passed, there’s never been a more appropriate time to come to our dealership to try out the new Mazda6 in Clevedon.
 
From the outside, it’s immediately apparent that Mazda have taken a different approach with the 6 from previous designs. With a distinctive front grille and wave-like lines, the car has an appearance of movement even when stationary. The new design, dubbed “KODO – Soul of Motion”, has been adapted from the CX-5 SUV, and will inform the overarching design philosophy for Mazda from this point on. Due to the lightweight materials used in the construction of the 6, along with increased body rigidity, the car is now more responsive and agile, especially on winding roads.
 
Sit in the driver’s seat of the Mazda6, and you’ll straight away be impressed by the roomy yet fully-featured cabin, which has a futuristic backlit display and an ergonomically-designed control scheme. Passengers will be just as comfortable, as there is plenty of legroom and a surprising amount of luggage space. There is also an array of advanced safety features, both active and passive. The Rear View Monitoring System, for example, has won an award from Euro NCAP, and the car overall has a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.
 
The Mazda6 is available in two versions, Saloon and Tourer. Both models feature a range of powerful yet economical engines, with SKYACTIV technology implemented to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The Saloon version boasts an enviable 67.3mpg fuel economy, with a similar figure for the Tourer. Whether you choose a 2.0-litre petrol or 2.2-litre diesel engine, though, you are guaranteed serious horsepower, with a maximum 0-60mph acceleration time of 10.5 seconds, and a top speed of up to 139mph. Additionally, the choice of six-speed automatic or manual gearbox means that you have as much control over the ride as you want.
