The new Mazda6 has been voted What Car? Car of the Year 2013 and is available now at Macklin Motors

The Mazda6 saloon is the latest model from Mazda, continuing its pedigree of confident and stylish cars. Built to offer both convenience and lower running costs, the Mazda6 is perfect for drivers who enjoy a comfortable driving experience and prefer an economical engine.
 
At its heart is the latest Mazda design ethos “KODO – Soul of Motion”, which has added fresh style to the established CX-5 SUV design on which it is based. The new face and strong bodylines all add to the appealing look. The car has been made more agile through the use of lightweight materials in the chassis, resulting in better handling and an uncanny ability to speed through the city. The inclusion of Mazda’s revolutionary i-ELOOP technology, which recovers and recycles energy during braking, makes this car even more economical.
 
The interior has also had a redesign using the new ethos, resulting in increased internal space and a stylish new look. The driver’s position has been elevated and the central console is within easy reach, allowing for ease of access and control over the entire car.  The Mazda6, as with all Mazda models, has been thoroughly tested by EuroNCAP who have awarded it five stars for safety. The high build quality is supported by intelligent technology such as all-round airbags, electronic driver assists and the award-winning Rear Vehicle Monitoring system.
 
A wide range of efficient yet powerful engines accompanies the Mazda6. The series starts with a 1.8-litre MZR and ranges up through a total of seven versions to a 2.5-litre that cuts the 0-60 time by three seconds. Depending on the size, these engines come with either a five-speed or six-speed gearbox, which is complemented by Mazda’s new SKYACTIV technology. This money-saving system cuts fuel consumption and emissions, making the car much more economical and reducing your motoring costs.
