UK Healthcare Donates £18,000 to Support Bolton Hospital

North West hospital benefits from charitable donation by leading UK provider of personal and corporate health cash plans.

UK Healthcare, a leading online provider of health insurance in the UK has offered a significant charitable donation to the Bolton NHS Charitable Fund, as it continues a record breaking 2012 of charity work.

A fantastic £18,000 was donated to the Charity, which has been used to purchase two MP30 monitors for use on the Stroke Unit and a Labcold Platelet Incubator for use by the transfusion department both based at the Royal Bolton Hospital.

UK Healthcare presented the then Chief Executive Lesley Doherty of Bolton NHS Foundation Trust with a cheque for £18,000. It was just one of several donations made in an excellent year of philanthropic work.

Not-for-profit providers of personal and corporate health cash plans, UK Healthcare, regularly support the work of varied charitable bodies, and in 2012 the company raised a record breaking sum of more than £55,000.

Part of this sum was presented to various charities at an annual presentation, held at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium; just one of several events that the organisation holds throughout each calendar year.

Bolton NHS Charitable Fund received their donation earlier in the year, and UK Healthcare will continue to work with the Lancashire based Charity long into the future.

The Royal Bolton Hospital, is part of Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, and provides a number of services including being a centre for excellence in maternity, neonatal care and childcare.

The hospital also provides a range of outpatient services throughout the area. This includes within Bolton homes, schools, health centres and clinics.
