Jessica Ennis partners with PruHealth and PruProtect as Vitality Ambassador

PruHealth and PruProtect have announced a new partnership with Olympic Heptathlon Gold Medallist, Jessica Ennis as a Vitality Ambassador. As a national sporting hero, she will be using her passion for living a healthy lifestyle to motivate people to make positive changes and get rewarded in the process through the Vitality wellness programme, which is offered through PruHealth and PruProtect.

As a PruHealth Vitality Ambassador, Jessica and her family will share their Vitality experiences, and offer practical advice and motivation to enable everyone, regardless of their current state of health and fitness to take achievable steps towards lifelong wellbeing.

Jessica Ennis said: “I think the Vitality programme is absolutely brilliant - we all love to be rewarded for our hard work to get healthy and Vitality has so many ways to reward people.  Everything I feel I stand for is echoed in the values of Vitality and I hope I can make people see that achieving your personal health goals is really a matter of planning the journey and sticking with it.”

Jessica will participate in a number of marketing activities throughout 2013, starting off with an introduction to intermediaries, PruHealth and PruProtect members and the wider market in January, through to on-going, regular campaigns which add value to the Vitality proposition through a number of marketing initiatives including online and social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter and being the face of a new member magazine.

Vitality encourages people to set achievable health goals, makes it easier for them to get healthy and rewards them for doing so. Jessica’s involvement creates a new channel through which Vitality can engage with and motivate members.

This new partnership with Jessica Ennis complements existing Vitality activities which include an extensive wellness and reward network, behavioural tools and partnerships with organisations such as the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. Jessica is one of the nominees for the 2013 Laureus World Sports Awards in the Female Athlete of the Year category.
