New Executive Seminar Tackles The Intangibles

Atlanta Leadership Firm Addresses the Concept of Presence in Executive Management

LOS ANGELES, CA (January 10, 2012) – The Institute for Management Studies (IMS), a leading organization in executive and management development, will be holding a full-day seminar titled “Executive Presence: Positioning Yourselves for Success,” on Tuesday, January 29, in Los Angeles, California. The seminar will take place at The DoubleTree Hotel, 120 S Los Angeles Street, starting at 9:00 AM.

The seven-hour conference will address the topic of “executive presence,” and its current use as a criterion for making judgments about leadership candidates. Executive presence is a relatively new concept, with its focus on interpersonal skills being a bit of a deviation from traditional executive management evaluation processes. Among the many goals of this seminar will be to establish a concrete definition of this somewhat nebulous term and creating a comprehensive application of it.

Guests of the seminar will use discussions, video presentations, and small group activities to learn every detail of the nine-dimensional concept of executive presence. By the end of the day, every guest will create an executive presence developmental plan. The plan will incorporate a new vocabulary, non-verbal communication habits, and behavioral styles to improve their leadership skills in a more sophisticated workforce.

Speaking at the seminar will be Dr. Paul Aldo, founder and President of Atlanta-based development firm Executive Presence, Inc. Dr. Aldo’s practice focuses on consultation and one-on-one coaching for prominent clients such as Autotrader.com, The Coco-Cola Company, Manheim Corporation, and Wells Fargo. Prior to his work at Executive Presence, Dr. Aldo served as an executive with Ernst and Young’s Management Consulting practice, where he was primarily tasked with holding large engagements focusing on people issues with some of the nation’s leading organizations.

Registration for this and future IMS sessions is limited to sponsoring organizations.
