EMSL Analytical is currently seeking a full time Asbestos and Microbiology Laboratory Manager for our new location in Ottawa, Canada. This position offers the chance to work for a stable company that provides the opportunity for growth within the organization.
 
The desired candidate is someone who has experience with asbestos and environmental microbiology analysis, has excellent communication skills, and who is willing and able to commit to opening a laboratory. The candidate should also possess a strong work ethic and a drive to be successful.
 
This position requires a B.S. in Sciences preferably Geology or Biology. Experience in an environmental commercial lab using PLM (Polarized Light Microscopy) and TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy), and Environmental Microbiology analysis is highly preferred. Previous lab management or supervisor experience, knowledge of NLVAP and ISO 17025 procedures, and QA/QC experience in a lab setting is a plus.
