How to stay motivated and inspired? It’s easier with a Life Coach

CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand December, 2012 – The way the world is moving and changing, people need to grow to succeed.  Although a lot of people have succeeded on their own, learning how to stay motivated is something that many people struggle with. While others are able to propel themselves to success, others need a support and guidance to provide them with inspiration and motivation, and this support often comes in the form of a life coach who has the ability to help them see where they are now, where they want to go and how they will get there.

Finding success can be tough.  It can be elusive.  People can get stuck, find themselves struggling with how to stay motivated ending up in a rut, unable to get the inspiration and the motivation they need to keep on going, to keep on moving out of their dreadful careers, failed relationships and seemingly hopeless lives.

A life coach is someone who “helps people get unstuck – to change careers, repair relationships, and get their acts together*.” And the best life coach is one who has gone through all that –desperation, failure, and feelings of hopelessness – but has overcome those feelings and come out the other side – risen from the rubble so to speak – to create a life that they love.

Karen Scott, owner of Kickstart Life Coaching and author of the book ‘Rising from the Rubble,’ is that kind of life coach.  She established her coaching firm with personal development in mind.  As a Christchurch life coach, she provides her clients with the inspiration and the motivation to “dream, believe and conquer.”

Her own life is a living testimony of what it means to dream of better things, to believe that such dreams can come true.  Karen believes that “people are far more capable than they think they are. You cannot always control what happens to you, but you can control how you react and respond.”

Karen started her own business at the young age of 18 and has successfully operated 12 businesses over the past 25+ years, and  has proven that people themselves have the power to conquer life’s obstacles and challenges.  She learned the importance of having a fighting spirit at a very young age, having suffered from polio and the inability to walk when she was only 18 months old. With the help of her parents, she was able to conquer the dreaded disease and eventually became an entrepreneur, a professional speaker and a life coach. Today, she says she “can do anything.”  She swims, bike rides, lifts weights, cooks and bakes – a very active lifestyle for someone who was told they would never be able to walk.

When an earthquake hit New Zealand, she lost everything.  She was buried under the rubble inside her business, suffered serious injuries and severe financial losses.  Yet, today, she continues to run a successful Cafe and Home Making Business and practice her profession as a life coach and as a professional speaker.  She has even managed to become an author.

Karen Scott’s victories have proven to be an inspiration and motivation to many of her life coaching clients.  One client, Catherine, said that “meeting Karen changed my life.” Karen was able to help Catherine transform from a shy girl to becoming an International Travel Consultant.

Michelle, a successful business owner, sought out Karen’s help while she was setting up her business.  Michelle claims that the valuable coaching she got from Karen “inspired and motivated me in the right direction.”  She describes Karen as “someone who understands” and “always seems to have the answer.”
