FRIDAY JULY 14, 2006 - HONG KONG -- New World Telecommunications Limited (NWT) and Lucent Technologies (Lucent) (NYSE: LU) today announced that Lucent will provide its leading IP Multi-media Subsystem (IMS) platform to NWT, enabling the telco to create and deliver simple, seamless, secure, portable, personal multimedia services for their subscribers over its optical IP network to different types of end user devices. Lucentīs IMS platform allows NWT to easily implement new and innovative services over an internationally recognized standard. NWT is Hong Kongīs first fixed line operator to deploy an IMS platform.
