Wmm Will Be On The American Giving Awards On Nbc!

We couldn’t have done it without you! Our thanks to all of you who voted, posted, tweeted and sang our praises during the race to $1 million. The winner will be announced this Saturday, December 8, on NBC at 8 pm ET/7 pm CT at the American Giving Awards, hosted by Joel McHale. Be sure to watch for a great clip about WMM and cheer us on!

More exciting news!

• WMM and Executive Director Debra Zimmerman will be honored by New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT) with the Loreen Arbus Award for Those Who Take Action and Effect Change at the 2012 MUSE Awards on Thursday, December 13. Other honorees include Mariska Hargitay, Lucy Liu, filmmaker Lisa F. Jackson and WEtv President Kim Martin.
• We have three films in competition at the Sundance Film Festival in January! WMM new release SALMA, from renowned filmmaker Kim Longinotto, will have its world premiere in World Documentary competition; in addition, two films produced through WMM’s Production Assistance Program will be in U.S. Documentary competition: AFTER TILLER by Martha Shane and Lana Wilson and GIDEON’S ARMY by Dawn Porter.
