TestAmerica First Environmental Lab to Receive Accreditation for Lower Volume Initiative (LVI) Program

WEBWIRE

TestAmerica announced today that it is the first environmental testing company to receive U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) accreditation on a lower volume method. The company received DoD accreditation for SW 846 8081 Pesticide and SW 846 8082 PCB Aroclor using the SW 846 3511 sample preparatory method at its Denver facility.

James Hyman, CEO of TestAmerica states, “We are delighted that we are the first in the industry to have an accredited LVI program that attests to the exceptional support we can bring to our clients and underscores our technical leadership. Our clients will derive many benefits from using reduced sample volumes, such as increased efficiency in collection, reduced shipping costs and reduced risk of bottle breakage.“

The company announced that this accreditation is part of a comprehensive program offering to clients across methods to reduce the challenges of obtaining routine water samples using the traditional 1000mL (1 Liter) volume containers. TestAmerica’s solution to this challenge is their LVI program, which enables clients to significantly reduce the sample volume required for many routine SW 846 8000 Series Organic methods. TestAmerica’s network with over 90 locations can now support clients using lower volumes ranging from 60mL to 250mL for SW 846 8270 Semivolatile including PAHs, SW 846 8081 Pesticides and SW 846 8082 PCB Aroclor methods.
