IRVINE, California, November 6, 2012 – Parents researching preschools and private schools have a unique opportunity to meet with representatives of over 60 OC preschools and private schools on January 6th, 2013, at the 3rd annual Orange County Private School Fair, organized by the Orange County Private School Association.

“In today’s climate of public school budget cuts, with ever increasing class sizes and less and less individualized attention, more parents are seriously looking at private school alternatives,” says Ray Girn, President of the Orange County Private School Association. “Our annual private school fair is a great opportunity for parents to research the wide variety of private school options available to them in Orange County. Choosing a private school can be a time consuming process—but the fair really simplifies this work: parents can meet with many different schools in a short period, get information on program content and tuition rates, and narrow down their choices to a handful of schools they’d like to visit.”

The 2013 OCPSA Private School Fair kicks off on January 6th, from 1 pm – 4 pm, at the Irvine Marriott Hotel, at 18000 Von Karman Avenue in Irvine, near John Wayne Airport.

OCPSA expects over 60 schools to exhibit at the event. Participating schools offer programs from as young as infant care and preschool, all the way through high school. Attending schools come from as far south as the Army and Navy Academy in Carlsbad, and all the way north to Whittier Christian High School in La Habra and Carden Conservatory in Huntington Beach.

Parents can visit with schools in the exhibit hall, get their questions answered and pick up school information materials. A series of educational seminars, running at periodic intervals during the Fair, will cover topics from How to Afford A Private School to Current Trends in Private Education. Children will be able to enjoy the KidZone, which will include balloon artists, face painters and other fun activities.

Admission to this event is free. Pre-registration is requested but not required; the first 500 families will earn an additional raffle entry and a free OCPSA bag. Registration and additional information is available at www.ocpsa.org/school-fair
