NEW YORK, -- Chase today re-opened 587 branches in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut less than 24 hours after Hurricane Sandy swept through the area. That’s 55% of the company’s total in the Tri-State region.

“Our employees have done simply heroic things to get more than half of our branches open today,” said Ryan McInerney, CEO of Chase’s Consumer Bank. “We stand ready to help our customers in any way we can. That includes everything from helping with banking needs to using our branches to charge cell phones. The Tri-State is home to many of us, too, and we are here to help.”

Nearly 60% of Chase’s 3,200 area ATMs are already running. Customers can use the Chase Mobile App or visit chase.com to check https://locator.chase.com/ for details on branches in the market.
