Well-Capitalized Proxy Networks Established to Invest in Proven Software Solutions Used by Thousands of Enterprises Worldwide for Network-Based Remote Control and Screen Recording

SUNNYVALE, CA and CAMBRIDGE, MA-July 10, 2006-Newly formed Proxy Networks, Inc. today announced it has acquired the Proxy Remote Control software product line from Juniper Networks.Juniper and Proxy Networks have worked together closely for the last several weeks to ensure a smooth transition for Proxy customers and partners. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the transaction is complete.

Proxy Networks has assumed responsibility for the continued development, marketing, sales and support of the Proxy product family, which Juniper acquired as part of its purchase of Funk Software. In addition, Proxy Networks retains the core product development and sales teams, with Robert Paul- the principal architect of the Proxy products - joining Proxy Networks as chief technical officer.

Proxy is a remote control software product that lets users access and control other PCs or servers on a LAN/WAN or across the Internet without leaving his or her own PC. Proxy is available as a peer-to-peer product for one-to-one connections, or in a client/server version designed to allow enterprises to centralize remote access and control for one-to-many connections.

Proxy Networks was recently formed by de Anda Capital, LLC, a private equity firm with investments in companies such as Asurion and ServiceSource. Proxy Networks has obtained rights to what is currently branded Proxy Remote Control Software for enterprise help desks and the Proxy Software Developer’s Kit for call center and other third-party solution providers looking to add high-performance remote control and screen recording capabilities to their solutions.

Joe Ryan, vice president, Juniper Networks, responsible for the Proxy product line said, “Over the past 13 years Proxy has enjoyed tremendous success as the best-in-class remote control solution, with an extremely loyal customer base and great partners. While Proxy is a great product, however, it’s not within Juniper’s area of focus. We looked for a buyer who would capitalize on the strength of the technology to the benefit of current and new customers. Existing customers and partners are in good hands with Proxy Networks, and we’re confident that the company has the resources and focus to build on the success of the Proxy product line moving forward.”

Andy Kim, chief executive officer of Proxy Networks, said, “Proxy Networks was established to capitalize on the potential of proven technology and stable products developed under the Funk Software brand. We are excited about the opportunity to make new investments in a profitable, established product line that has thousands of satisfied customers in the government, education, legal, healthcare, financial services and professional services markets.”

Kim added, “Proxy Networks now offers customers the best of both worlds. We are creating the energy, innovation and freedom of a startup without the typical product, technology and market risks of an early stage company. We will soon announce new products, features, partners and programs that will help us expand market share and build our business.”
