Palatine, Illinois – Palatine Martial Arts, a martial arts school established for over 22 years, offers training to people interested in taking Taekwondo or Haidong Gumdo classes. It also offers sword training classes, martial arts classes for kids and martial arts for seniors.

The martial arts school is owned by John P. Wood and Janice Wood. John P. Wood began taking martial arts in the 1970s. He is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, but he moved to Palatine, Illinois in 1986 to pursue his dream of opening up his own martial arts school. Today, his school has over 350 students.

Janice Wood is John P. Wood’s wife. She has been taking martial arts classes for over 25 years. Janice and her husband have three sons who also take martial arts. Both Janice and John are dedicated to their profession. They want to make sure that all of their students get the most out of the classes.
