Chelsea Rentals & Hearth Sales closed their doors on the equipment rental part of their business in March of this year.   Due to health problems last winter, owner Chris Livengood knew she needed to either sell or downsize. Reorganizing the business to focus on the hearth side became the answer.

Livengood spent the summer looking for a new location and establishing a new name for the hearth company.  Working with JS Associates, a local online marketing company, a more user-friendly website was also created.  Customers can now easily find more information about alternative home heating and the products Chelsea Hearth & Fireplaces carries by visiting www.ChelseaHearthandFireplaces.com

On Wednesday, October 3rd the newly formed Chelsea Hearth & Fireplaces opened its doors for business at the Oak Tree Shopping Center on East Old US 12, Chelsea, Michigan, just off the Fletcher Road Exit.  “Having six years of experience in the hearth business behind us definitely helped this transition go smoothly,” Livengood shared, “I’m looking forward to re-connecting with past customers and building new relationships with future customers.”

In celebration of the move, Chelsea Hearth & Fireplaces will hold an official Ribbon Cutting and Grand Re-Opening Ceremony on Friday, October 12 at 11:00 am at their new address:  12855 E Old US 12, Suite 6, Chelsea Michigan.

Livengood confirmed that Chelsea Hearth & Fireplaces will continue to only provide the top brand names in wood burning, pellet and coal stoves, fireplace inserts and furnace add-ons.  New this year, however, she has added high efficiency gas fireplace inserts to the list of products she carries.  They will also continue to offer premium grade wood pellets and anthracite coal as alternative fuels for customers.

“Our goal is to ‘Keep it Simple’,” Livengood said, “We’ll have shorter store hours, but offer more convenient evening times for folks that work.”  Regular store hours will be Wednesday-Friday, 2 – 7 pm and Sat. 9 - 2 pm.  Private appointments are flexibly offered for those customers who work during her regularly scheduled store hours.
