Architekt Krischanitz ZT GmbH wins architectural competition to redevelop Zurich Insurance Group’s global headquarters in Zurich

Zurich – Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich) is pleased to announce the results of the architectural competition it launched in December 2011 for the redevelopment of its Corporate Center at Mythenquai 2 in Zurich: The jury has decided to award the first prize to the project “ZUMY” submitted by Architekt Krischanitz ZT GmbH, with further recommended adaptations.

A total of 15 architects were invited by Zurich to participate in the competition, both local and international offices. The jury of experts consisted of representatives from the company as well as selected planning and construction specialists and one expert from the Canton of Zurich.

The future Corporate Center will offer its employees an enhanced, efficient and flexible working environment that meets the latest standards and reflects the company’s sustainable management practices and policies, which, in turn, enhance employee efficiency and performance. The renovation and redevelopment of the Corporate Center also underscores the Group’s corporate history as well as its strong attachment to the city and the local community.
