EMSL Analytical Now Operates 5 A2LA Accredited Food Labs Nationwide

EMSL Analytical’s Houston laboratory has been awarded an accreditation for food testing from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA).

The Houston laboratory has been accredited in accordance with the International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories. This accreditation represents EMSL’s technical competence and quality management system within the laboratory.

EMSL’s Houston laboratory is now accredited for the following: Aerobic Plate Count-Petri Film, Aerobic Plate Count–Pour Plate, Enterobacteriaceae–Petrifilm, Escherichia coli O157–Lateral Flow Device, E. coli 0157–Confirmation, Listeria-Confirmation with speciation, Salmonella–VIDAS, Salmonella–Confirmation, Salmonella–Lateral Flow, Staphylococcus aureus–Petrifilm, Total Coliform / E. coli–Petrifilm, Total Coliform / E. coli–VRBA, and Yeast and Mold–Petrifilm.

Tests may be conducted on food products, feeds, food additives, beverages, and environmental samples.
