Coming soon to John Clark Group, the all-new BMW M6

German automotive manufacturer BMW has added a new convertible to its range – the 2012 M6 convertible and coupé. The models will be showcased at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show before going on general release, and will then be available at franchised BMW dealerships throughout the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. In Aberdeen and Dundee, Scotland, the cars can be selected from the regional John Clark Group showrooms for BMW.
 
The biennial German motoring show is the logical choice for the unveiling of the models, and will be held from September 20th to 27th. BMW will display the new M6 alongside several of its other models at the European event, showcasing the vehicles to the general public before release.
 
The M6 is the flagship model in BMW’s M Series, created as both a versatile convertible and stylish coupé. The manufacturer provides a turbocharged V8 petrol engine for the models, delivering 522bhp to produce a maximum speed of 189mph. BMW’s engineering team have ensured that this high level of power doesn’t mean a compromise on fuel efficiency, with both vehicles offering an improved MPG.
 
A significant number of electronic braking assistances are supplied with the new model as standard, including ABS, cornering and anti-skid controls, and a dry braking function. BMW provides the M6 with highly responsive carbon-ceramic brakes as an optional extra, working with the front and rear suspension systems and adaptive dampers to create accurate handling and reliable grip. Motorists can also choose sleek 20-inch alloy wheels to partner the new brakes.
