UV Disinfection Technologies on Display at the 2012 AHE Exchange Conference

The AHE is a professional association representing over 2,300 professionals caring for the healthcare environment.  The organization is affiliated with the American Hospital Association and offers education, professional development and advocacy, and information and resources about new technologies, equipment, operations and procedures to its members.
 
One of the hot topics at this year’s event is how healthcare professionals can help prevent healthcare associated infections (HAIs).  The costs and risks associated with HAIs are enormous, in fact the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states, “Approximately 1 out of every 20 hospitalized patients will contract an HAI.”
