Seek New York Tours Launches New NYC Audition Tour for Actors

Seek New York Tours (www.seeknewyorktours.com) is pleased to introduce the Actors’ Audition Tour as an addition to their NYC tour lineup for fall 2012.

Ideal for actors who are new to New York City or new to the acting profession, Seek’s Actors’ Audition Tour is led by an Equity performer and licensed NYC Sightseeing Guide. During this New York walking tour, participants will visit the city’s many audition venues and learn sign-in procedures at each. They’ll also discover the best way to shuttle between locations on busy audition days, and get answers to their questions about union and non-union auditions and contracts. Along the way tour participants will  learn about the best places to have resumes and headshots printed, get advice on choosing a dance class or vocal coach, receive tips on finding a “day job,” and more.

Public Actors’ Audition Tours are held on select Sunday afternoons. Tickets are $25/person (10% discount for members of AEA, SAG-AFTRA, and other entertainment unions with proof of membership) and must be purchased in advance. Seek’s Actors’ Audition Tour is also available as a private tour, making it ideal for acting classes, drama schools, and groups of recent college graduates. Private tour itineraries are customized for each individual group, with possible tour highlights including places offering special services for performers (such as a free health clinic just for actors and a source for free audition shoes), discount housing resources for members of the entertainment community, and ways to purchase inexpensive tickets to Broadway and Off-Broadway shows.
