UGS and PLM World, Inc. Celebrate Successful 2006 Users’ Conference

Newly Combined Conference Featured Hundreds of Educational Sessions, Increased Knowledge and Best-Practice Sharing

FOR RELEASE Friday, June 30, 2006, PLANO, Texas – UGS Corp., a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, and PLM World, Inc., the UGS user community, today announced strong attendance for PLM World 2006, with nearly 2,000 participants from 29 countries coming together for the 30th anniversary of the annual user group conference for UGS® technology users. PLM World 2006 celebrated a record-breaking number of sessions and submitted abstracts and continues as the longest running PLM industry conference.

PLM World is one of the PLM industry’s largest user communities and the first combined NX™, Teamcenter®, Tecnomatix™ and Solid Edge® software user conference following the merger of PLM World and the Solid Edge Summit earlier this year.

“The newly combined conference successfully brought together a larger, more diverse user community and increased the open exchange of knowledge at the conference,” says Dave Shook, senior vice president and managing director, Americas, UGS. “Attendance grew more than 10 percent this year, with a record number of global attendees, from small to mid-size manufacturers through enterprise companies, coming together to discuss our products, innovation and best practices.”

This year’s event, themed “PLM University,” featured nearly 500 educational sessions, including keynote presentations, technical topics, product updates and hands-on-training sessions delivered by seasoned users, UGS and key partners in the PLM industry from around the world.
