Self-Publishing Success Story - Author Sells 25,000 Books in 6 Months
Claire Ridgway, a self-published author and history researcher, has had great success with her two Tudor history books, The Anne Boleyn Collection and The Fall of Anne Boleyn: A Countdown, selling over 25,000 copies since mid February 2012.
In an article on her blog, www.claireridgway.com, Ms Ridgway explained how she had set goals to sell 100 books per month and 1000 in her first year, adding “You can imagine how ecstatic I was when I looked at my sales figures on 27th August 2012 and found that I had surpassed 25,000 sales (not including free downloads or borrows)”. Ridgway puts her success down to the support of those who follow her Anne Boleyn Files blog, to hard work, to commitment and to treating self-publishing as a business.
