Jennifer Aniston must be over the top on cloud nine after boyfriend Justin Theroux recently popped the question asking her to marry him last Friday on his 41st birthday. For the 43 year old ’Friends’ actress whose marriage to actor Brad Pitt ended 7 years ago, the recent proposal has just blown her away. She was quoted saying, “Yes, I’m very happy. I’m extremely lucky, and I’m extremely happy.”

And she has every reason to be as the engagement ring that fiancee Justin Theroux presented to her was said to be a huge 8 carat emerald-cut diamond which is rectangle with tapered diamond baguettes on the sides.

Justin Theroux happens to be the cousin of British documentary-maker Louis Theroux. A spokeswoman for Justin confirmed that ’he had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston accepted his proposal of marriage.’

Both of them had been dating for more than a year and were first spotted together in May 2011. While they have been long time friends, both Justin and Jennifer seemed to have reconnected during the filming of their latest movie ’Wanderlust’.

Jennifer was quoted as saying, “He’s a protector, for sure. He’s just a good human being and so funny.”

Miss Aniston recently purchased a $21 million home in Beverly Hills for the couple to live in. The property is currently being refurbished before they move in and it also has its own vineyard.

She has yet to show off her new engagement ring but both her parents are said to be happy for her. Her father, John Aniston was said to have given his seal of approval for Justin mentioning that he is a charming young man and that they would make a wonderful couple.
