In beta for a little over a month, the network has already garnered over 500 active and motivated mud running members, from first-timers to elite racers.
MudMob.com has ironed out the kinks, added plenty of requested features and is ready for its official launch. Garnering approximately 500 members in its five weeks in beta, the site has quickly become one of the leading communities and resources for both first-time mud runners as well as the experienced ’mudder’.
Until now, the only way for mud or obstacle course racers to connect with one another (either pre or post race) was either via the Facebook page of the respective race organizer, or forums dedicated to the organizer of a particular race (often filled with spam). With the launch of MudMob.com, thousands of weekend warriors competing in popular events such as the ’Spartan Race’, ’Tough Mudder’, ’Warrior Dash’ finally have one central place to call home.
MudMob’s primary goal is to provide a dedicated community to meet, socialize, support and motivate one another. Racers can search for members or events in their area, share training tips, share promo codes, compete in various ’training challenges’, post photos, organize personal events via a community calendar and much more.
The nearly 500 current members have been enjoying both the supportive and encouraging atmosphere of the site as well as the friendly competition of the various member created physical challenges. Anyone up for trying to make the leaderboard of the 300 burpee challenge?
In other stats, over 1,200 photos have been shared, 2,000 posts written and 1,500 friendships made during the short beta phase. The event calendar contains over 100 events, searchable by region or state, enabling members to find the best races closest to them.
