In addressing recent changes by Google the QI CEO points out, “The latest updates to the filters used by Google are forcing agencies to increase their billable rates since the techniques required to achieve and sustain top positioning have become more difficult to perform. Simply put, more research and more development mean more billable time.  With that in mind it should be noted that many other SEO companies appear to be confusing these new filters with Google’s fundamental algorithm. The rules and policies that existed since the inception of Google remain firm. Google is simply running the equivalent of a “virus scanner” through their engine to filter out websites they believe to have “spammy” characteristics. Quality content and appropriate link building are still accepted, core practices.”
