EMC Named Ricoh’s Strategic Alliance Partner of the Year

Company Recognized for Highest Revenue Contribution, Integration of Captiva Solutions

Hopkinton, Mass.-Tuesday, June 27, 2006, EMC Corporation, the world leader in information management and storage, today announced that it has been awarded “Strategic Alliance Partner of the Year” by Ricoh Corporation, a leading provider of digital office equipment and multifunction products (MFPs). The award recognizes EMC for being Ricoh’s top revenue-contributing software vendor partner, as well as for integrating EMC Captiva InputAccel® document capture software with Ricoh’s GlobalScan 2.0 enterprise document scanning and routing solution, providing customers with instant access to accurate data across a distributed environment.

Integrating InputAccel with GlobalScan 2.0 lets organizations use InputAccel’s document capture capabilities to distribute scanned documents automatically across a network – directly from the operation panel on an MFP device. With InputAccel with GlobalScan 2.0, users can route documents scanned on an MFP directly to InputAccel for image cleanup, indexing, classification, data extraction, validation and delivery of the right content format and metadata into a data repository.
