The Integrative Healing Society  www.ihsociety.com is offering a chance for acupuncturists to do continuing education in Hangzhou, China from October 12 – 27, 2012.  The two-week course is approved by the NCCAOM for 30 CEU’s and will be held in union with Zhejiang Chinese Medical University.  In addition to its China program the Integrative Healing Society (IHS) also offers online training based on the book Meridian Circuit Systems

In the two-week China tour participants will receive 50 hours of training in clinical rounds and lectures.  Students may also choose to study in acupuncture, internal medicine, herbal medicine, or tuina.  During clinical hours students will observe senior level doctors treating up to twenty patients per hour.  The tour also includes sightseeing events, four-star accommodations, group meals, and a spa treatment.

As part of its online training IHS offers a five-hour course that is based on the popular book Meridian Circuit Systems.  In this style of acupuncture, diagnosis and pattern identification is based on the connections between the meridians.  This system of acupuncture is especially powerful because it allows for the use of fewer points while maximizing clinical results.

Due to the popularity of the course and book, another online acupuncture course has just been released.  In this follow up course it is shown how meridian based approaches integrate with traditional zang-fu methods used in TCM.  The new course includes additional information about Master Tung’s points, diagnosing according to meridian connections, and how zang-fu patterns overlap with meridian therapies.

As part of this month’s promotion a 10% discount is being offered on the China program, and a free online course for treating conditions of the urinary bladder is offered to those who purchase the Meridian Circuit Systems course.
