The hurricane season in the United States began on June 1st and doesn’t end until November 30th.  In May, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) announced their predictions for the 2012 hurricane season.  According to NOAA it will be average with 4 to 8 Atlantic hurricanes and 9 to 15 named storms.

Many in Florida are no strangers to the devastation that hurricanes have caused across the state.  In 1992, Hurricane Andrew left a path of destruction and death that resulted in over $25 billion in property damage.

One company that has been helping Floridians prepare and respond to the annual hurricane season is Advanced Building Assessment, Inc. Their employees have been serving the residential and commercial building evaluation needs of area residents for over 20 years.

Advanced Building Assessment provides roof and elevation certifications, wind mitigation and insurance inspections, environmental consulting services, and public insurance adjuster services.  “As anyone from Florida knows, property owners need to be prepared in the event of a hurricane making landfall in Florida,” reported Eric Osking, M.S., CIEC, President of Advanced Building Assessment.  “There are many proactive steps people can take to minimize potential damage to their homes and businesses before another hurricane is heading our way and we can help.  In the aftermath of a storm, the professionals at Advanced Building Assessment are ready to quickly and efficiently provide inspection, environmental consulting and public insurance adjuster services to get people back on their feet and into their homes,” he continued.
