The Capital Focus Jazz Band has been invited to perform on the Jazz Fest At Sea jazz cruise that sails from December 1-12, 2012. The Capital Focus Jazz Band, led by Band Director Dave Robinson, is the youth learning program of the Potomac River Jazz Club and one of the premiere trad jazz youth ensembles in the United States. To realize this opportunity for their dream performance, the jazz youth ensemble is applying both their musical and entrepreneurial skills. The group has already realized the halfway point on the way to their goal of helping to sell jazz cruise cabins - and are inviting jazz fans to sign up to ensure they meet their goal. The hard-working, aspiring musicians who comprise the Capital Focus Jazz Band will have the opportunity to play alongside some of the top professionals in the business if they are able to successfully complete their cabin sales efforts. Jazz fans can stake a claim in the future of this music by identifying themselves as CFJB supporters when reserving their cabins for this jazz cruise. As an added incentive, all those who sign up as a CFJB will receive an autographed copy of their latest double-CD, Renewing the Tradition Volume 7.

This year’s JazzFest at Sea - December 1-11, 2012 - is a Caribbean jazz cruise highlighted by jazz performances and a magnificent itinerary, beginning with departure from Ft. Lauderdale, and porting at Bonaire, Aruba, Columbia, Panama, and Jamaica.
