BooksOnBoard Offers 40-50% Off eBooks Until the End of May

This past week has seen E.L. James dominating BooksOnBoard’s US bestsellers list alongside recent releases from the usual suspects: James Patterson, Charlaine Harris, and Laurell K. Hamilton. But something else besides big-name authors grabbed readers’ attention last week: a 40% off promotion that was so popular that BooksOnBoard is expanding the selection of eligible titles, upping the savings, and extending the promotion through the end of May.

“eBook readers are always on the lookout for rewards, promotions, and special offers—and BooksOnBoard devotes itself to giving readers exactly what they want,” said Nathan Johnson, BooksOnBoard’s Director of Operations. “Last week we marked down all eligible backlist fiction, that’s fiction with a street date before January 1st of 2012, by 32% off the publisher’s list price. On top of that we added 8% Rewards Dollars back—calculated from the list price, not the discounted price—to make it an even 40% discount after Rewards.”

The discount did not go unnoticed. “BooksOnBoard’s customers responded with such enthusiasm that we’ve added all eligible frontlist fiction to this promotion,” Johnson said, “while simultaneously ramping up the discount on eligible backlist fiction to 40% off with 8% Rewards Dollars back. This discount will be offered through the end of the month, when it will be time to cook up a new offer for our readers to look forward to.”
