2012 Free Press Summer Fest, Set for June 2 & 3 at Eleanor Tinsley Park, announces 2012 sponsors

Houston, TX (May 22, 2012) – Free Press Houston and Pegstar.net Presents are pleased to announce a diverse group of sponsors for the fourth annual Free Press Summer Fest, which will take place on June 2nd and 3rd from 10:30 AM – 10:00 PM at Eleanor Tinsley Park, located just west of downtown Houston.
 
Jeep®, Budweiser, Chipotle, PlayStation, Sweet Leaf Iced Teas, IKEA Houston, Kroger, Legacy Community Health Services, Night Owls Print Shop, 29-95, and The CW39/KIAH-TV Houston are sponsoring the event, which is Houston’s largest music and arts festival. In addition to their generous support, many of these organizations will be involved on-site at the event with interactive demonstrations, games and other attractions, including a photo booth sponsored by Chipotle. The presence of Legacy Community Health Services at this year’s festival means there is an increase in medical support on-site which will help further ensure the safety and well-being of festival attendees. This year, the Jeep brand will present the Main Stage. The festival’s second stage will be presented by Budweiser, and additional stages will be presented by Chipotle, 29-95, and Night Owls Print Shop.
 
This year’s festival will feature an expanded arts area with more interactive and site-specific installations, national and local artists, screen print artwork, and more. Craft, art, and music workshops led by local artists and musicians will give attendees the opportunity to experiment with sound modulators and circuit bent toys and instruments. TX/RX Labs, a Houston-based nonprofit workshop and engineering team, is designing a 30-foot, motion-detecting water wall for the event. The Jeep brand will also host a full ride-and-drive experience for attendees.  Free Press Summer Fest has also expanded its recycling program with assistance from Little Joy Recycling and the Texas Campaign for the Environment.
