Matrix Medical Network, based in Palo Alto, California, provides on-site medical assessments to health insurance plans and other medical service providers.  By sending nurse practitioners to assess the health of plan members in their homes or care facilities, Matrix Medical provides the information health plans need to deliver the best care possible to their members.

In order to conduct remote medical assessments in a variety of locations, the nurse practitioners of Matrix Medical were using cumbersome, siloed, disconnected excel spreadsheet based solutions for capturing patient data.  This process resulted in hundreds of spreadsheets containing vital patient data that were disconnected from each other and from any centralized data source.  In order to eliminate error-prone duplicate data entry, boost overall data integrity, and provide real-time access to crucial data, Matrix Medical needed a new data driven solution.
