Clarification of Previous Press Release: SanAir Announces Capability To ID & Evaluate Harmful Fire-Related Particulates in HVAC Systems
RICHMOND, Va., April 28, 2012 -- SanAir Technologies Laboratory, a Virginia-based national environmental testing company, announced Thursday that it has the capability to identify and evaluate potentially hazardous fire-related particulates in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
The Company is one of several nationally to meet an industry-wide standard known as “ISEO/RIA Standard 6001.” SanAir’s earlier release inaccurately stated that it was the first in Virginia and one of the first nationally to identify and evaluate post-fire particulates in HVAC equipment; and that it was alone in offering “IESO/RIA standard 6001 and ASTM methods for carbon black and soot.”
Also, the new industry standard was created by the Indoor Environmental Standards Organization and the Restoration Industry Association. IESO is a subsidiary of the Indoor Air Quality Association, while the Restoration Industry Association is an international trade association for the cleaning and restoration industry founded nearly 70 years ago. It is not an “affiliate” of IAQA, as stated in the earlier release.
