Kris Sorbie Judges NAHA 2012

NEW YORK, NY – Kris Sorbie, a world-renowned educator in the salon industry, was a judge for the North American Hairdressing Awards (NAHA) 2012.  The awards will be revealed at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas on Sunday, July 22, 2012. 

Kris Sorbie has been Redken’s Education Artistic Director for more than a decade, is a two-time NAHA Master Hairstylist of the Year award winner, and a seven-time Master Hairstylist of the Year nominee.  She received the 2004 and 2005 Canadian International Hairstylist of the Year, an ABBIES award for Best Salon Education Program and, at HairColor USA was awarded both, Best Educator and Most Inspirational Educator of the Year.

Kris says; “I’m honored to be both a NAHA Judge and a Creative Advisory Board member, we meet every month and constantly work towards ‘raising the bar’ of the awards night and the competition itself, to expose the inspiring talent that exists in this incredible and unique industry. ”

Kris is recognized as a world-renowned leader in cutting-edge hair color concepts and techniques such as the now famous ‘Ombré Technique.’ As an expert in the field of long hair up-styling, she raised the bar in the art of finishing. And recently she was the maverick and first hairdresser to use technology for education of hairstylists around the world through her iPhone® app the Kris Sorbie TouchPro.
