U-TOUCH of San Diego Raises Funds for Technology Centers in Northern Uganda

U-TOUCH, a San Diego based non-profit, 501(c) 3 all volunteer organization, is holding a fundraiser on Saturday, April 21, 4-8 p.m., at the Eastlake Country Club in Chula Vista to raise support for U-TOUCH technology community centers for survivors of the LRA war in Uganda.  Thousands of Ugandans have received training and certification with access to computers and the Internet.
 
Dinner will be accompanied by the music of the Buosso African Drumming and Dance Ensemble. The band will get everyone dancing and transported to Africa. Ugandan hand-made crafts, jewelry and art will be on sale as will the acclaimed book, Secrets of War, which tells the story of northern Uganda before, during and after the 26 year civil war, through the writing and artwork of the children who lived through it the horrific experience.  A silent auction of local and Ugandan items will also be held.
 
The event is open to the public, with advance and at the door purchase of tickets at www.u-touch.org/ Space is limited so early reservations are suggested.
