New York, N.Y., April 13, 2012 - Tykoon, an online financial services platform that empowers children to learn the imperative values of earning, saving, giving and responsible spending, will be attending Financial Literacy Day on April 17, 2012 on Capitol Hill, to spread the importance of teaching kids strong financial values.

Financial Literacy Day on Capitol Hill was originally introduced in 2003 by the Council for Economic Education, Junior Achievement and the Jump$tart Coalition. This year, presenters from these organizations will work in conjunction with U.S. Senators Daniel K. Akaka (D-HI) and Michael Enzi (R-WY). Capitol Hill day has invited U.S. Representatives Judy Biggert (R-IL) and Rubén Hinojosa (D-TX) as special guests to this event and will feature more than 60 financial literacy exhibitors.

“We are eager to share our mission with others and create a more financially stable future starting with our children,” said Mark Bruinooge, CEO of Tykoon. “Financial Literacy Day on Capitol Hill is a great venue to show members of Congress and the public how Tykoon works and how our platform will play a role in the financial literacy movement.”

Tykoon enables kids to learn through real experience while providing parents safe and easy to use technology to make their lives easier. The platform includes web-based and mobile apps that parents and their kids can use to manage responsible earning, saving, giving and spending.
