Keflavik airport in Iceland offers low aircraft turnaround times during all seasons

Iceland’s main international airport in Iceland, Keflavik International Airport, offers low aircraft turnaround times during peak and off-peak seasons. The airport boasts a safe and efficient aircraft turnaround time of between 40 to 70 minutes on aircraft types 737/A319 up to 757-300.

All KEF arrivals and departures are direct and without any obstructions, complimented by efficient and professional ATC management, insuring minimum delays.

The airport also offers a minimal taxi time due to low traffic density. All runways are equipped with edge and centerlights, aprons, and floodlights. Navigational aids are VOR, TACAN, DME, ILS, NDB. Emergency lighting and a secondary power supply is in place with a switch over time of ten seconds – zero seconds when Cat II is in operation.

All runways at KEF are 3000m in length and 60m in width, with an ICAO CAT 4E certification, and are able to cope with extensive winter operations.
