Local Acupuncturist, Patrick Fitzsimons, Joins Asheville’s Newest Health Collective

Asheville, NC - On Wednesday, April 18th, acupuncturist, Patrick Fitzsimons, will begin seeing patients at Asheville’s newest natural health center, POINT Health Collective, located at 264 Haywood Rd., Asheville, NC 28806.

Although Patrick’s been involved in the acupuncture community for over a decade in Asheville, the opening of his practice is somewhat of a return. Patrick left for several years to work as an acupuncturist aboard cruiseships. Since he returned in 2009 he has spent more time teaching and writing a book than on his practice. 

Now Patrick is making a subtle shift. “It’s time again to bring my practice into greater focus,” he said. “Having diversified my scope in the field, and after the life-broadening experiences of the past several years, I’m excited to serve the community that is my home.” 

POINT Health Collective was started by Alison Colberg, L.Ac., and Adrienne Kramer, P.T. The center is based in a renovated Victorian home, and will offer several therapies under the same roof, including physical therapy, massage, Chinese herbs, and acupuncture. POINT will offer both private and community-style acupuncture.

Patrick is a recognized Diplomate of Acupuncture in the USA, and is licensed to practice in the State of North Carolina. He attended a 4-year medical program at Jung Tao School in Boone, NC, where he earned a Master’s in the field of Classical Chinese Medicine. In addition to his Asheville practice, Patrick operates a satellite clinic in Charlotte, NC, where he travels and works two days per month. He regularly volunteers at Helios Warriors in Asheville, providing acupuncture to veterans. Patrick holds a vested interest in the treatment of pain, digestive disorders, and women’s issues.
