· 193 selectable UHF channels

· Locking function prevents accidentally setting changes

· Up to 15 hours operation time

Responding to customer demand, Bosch Security Systems has extended its public address and voice alarm product portfolio with a new range of UHF wireless microphone products. The range, which includes a true diversity wireless microphone receiver, a handheld wireless microphone and a wireless belt-pack transmitter, offers a host of features normally found on far more expensive products. These include a lock function on the receiver and the microphones to prevent accidentally setting changes or switching off, an integrated LCD display and the latest PLL synthesized tuning technology.

The new wireless microphone products are optimized for speech and offer 193 selectable UHF channels. The products are well suited for a wide range of applications in, for example, conferences, press events, sales and marketing demonstrations. In fact they are excellent products for any event or venue where clear, intelligible speech reproduction and freedom of movement is required.

The microphone receiver offers a single channel for 1 transmitter and features true diversity to provide exceptional robustness against audio signal drop-out due to movement of the microphones during a presentation. The illuminated LCD display indicates the AF and RF signal level, receiving frequency, microphone battery-status and mute-status indications.

It also features a pilot tone signal and audio squelch that controls the receiver’s audio output to eliminate turn-on/turn-off transients and to keep the receiver muted when the microphone is turned off. The compact half rack metal housing can be simply placed on a tabletop or it can be rack mounted for which a dual 19-inch rack mounting bracket, front panel and antenna adapter kit are available.

The robust belt-pack transmitter features a spring-loaded belt clip allowing it to be placed unobtrusively on a trouser belt or waist-band. It comes with a lavalier microphone that can be attached to a collar, tie or other article of clothing to allow hands-free operation. The belt-pack transmitter includes the locking function and an LCD display indicating the transmitting frequency and the battery status. The belt-pack transmitter can operate for approximately 15 hours on standard AA alkaline batteries.

The rugged enclosure of the handheld microphone is both stylish and comfortable to handle. Based upon the latest technology, it ensures stable signal transmission and interference free operation. It includes the locking function and an LCD display indicating the transmitting frequency and the battery status. Like the belt-pack transmitter, the handheld microphone can operate for approximately 15 hours on standard AA alkaline batteries.

The new range of UHF wireless microphones and accessories is an important addition to Bosch’s broad portfolio of public address products. Together with recent additions to the company’s Plena range of PA products, which includes a new charger and timer and new power amplifiers, the products strengthen Bosch’s position as a one-stop shop supplier for public address products.
