Indie Songwriter Creates Stir

WEBWIRE

Indie songwriter Natalie McCool (http://www.nataliemccool.co.uk) who once jammed with Sir Paul McCartney is creating more and more of a stir by getting primetime BBC Radio play for her latest release ‘Fortune’.

She commented “since Fortune was released I have had lots of amazing feedback, and the BBC Radio play has just been absolutely fantastic”. Natalie first came to public attention by winning a Yamaha ‘Make It Break It’ award judged by Grammy award winning record producer Steve Levine, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, and promoter Harvey Goldsmith CBE.

Every now and again the indie genre in the UK produces a gem of an artist, and Natalie certainly seems to fit that profile. She refers to her music as ‘dark panoramic indie’, and has already had one of her tracks played on UK TV show ‘Hollyoaks’. Natalie has been described as “an amazing new talent” by BBC Radio 6’s Chris Hawkins, who also said “McCool has that extra something that makes her a cut above even her most talented peers”.

She has a busy gig schedule for 2012 with one of her appearances being at the prestigious Ronnie Scott’s club in the heart of Soho, London, on March 6th. Natalie recently supported Sandi Thom at the Threshold Festival in Liverpool, and she will also support music legend Joan Armatrading at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester UK, November 4th.
