Mac McQuown - Marine Walking 15,000 Miles for Veterans Causes

Mac McQuown, a 50 Year old Marine is walking to all 50 state capitals to raise awareness for veterans causes. He is working in conjuction with Project Foot, a charity for homeless veterans and military familes.

Since September 11, 2011, Mac McQuown has seen his share of miles (over 600 to date). He has walked to our Nation’s capital for the anniversary of 9/11 and to Ground Zero for Veterans Day. All of this, however, is just the beginning. His walk will continue for the next 4 to 5 years and take him over 15,000 miles to every state capital.

Mac is walking to bring awareness to the plight of our veterans and to raise money to help homeless veterans and military families through Project Foot. He is also gathering signatures for the Veterans Bill of Rights. http://www.Veterans-Bill-of-Rights.org

  • Dinwiddie, Virginia
  • McKenney, Virginia
  • Alberta, Virginia
  • South Hill, Virginia
  • Bracey,Virginia
  • Norlina, North Carolina


The following week he will be in these towns:

  • Henderson, North Carolina
  • Kittrell, North Carolina
  • Franklinton, North Carolina
  • Wake Forest, North Carolina
  • Raleigh , North Carolina
