Murray, UT, December 7, 2011 – Applied Simulation Technologies, Inc. (AST) announced today that the Idaho Police Officer Standards & Training (Idaho POST), in collaboration with Idaho Counties Risk Management Program (ICRMP), has added EVOC-101 Web™  to its training regimen. Starting in January, 2012 POST recruits and law enforcement emergency responders will complete the proven five-lesson emergency vehicle operations course.

AST created EVOC-101 Web™ to provide convenient online training for police and emergency vehicle drivers. It has proven to improve trainee and driver performance on a simulator and test track and is also used as a stand-alone solution for driver training.

“EVOC-101 Web instills the concepts of safety and caution into the driving strategy of officers conducting emergency driving through crowded traffic patterns, ” said William Flink, Executive Officer with Idaho POST. Flink added, “All local and state police agencies are encouraged to embrace this program for the welfare of their officers and agency responsibilities, as a true method to serve Idaho’s citizens and promote a safer environment.”

EVOC-101 Web™ is being provided by Idaho POST in a joint effort with ICRMP. Rick Ferguson, ICRMP Executive Director, said “ICRMP is pleased to collaborate with the Idaho POST academy to provide training in the single largest area of claims exposure ICRMP faces; driving.”
