123gaming has for the second time won the top prize in its category at the eGaming Review operator awards 2011, Europe’s most prestigious gaming industry event.

The UK-based interactive gaming developer led a strong field to pick up the Skill Gaming Operator of the Year title for its innovative wagering product - 123racing, beating major contenders William Hill Online and Boylesports. Underpinned by proprietary technology, 123racing integrates social gaming and mainstream betting and is available in the US in both pay-to-play and free-to-play versions. The accolade makes it a double for 123gaming, which in 2007 won the eGaming Review Start-up Operator of the Year.

The win comes as 123gaming puts together a stage-two funding round to facilitate the launch of its next generation online platform in North America and to progress international partnership opportunities. The technology is being developed in close co-operation with Sportech Racing, the world’s leading supplier of pools betting technology. 123gaming has successfully positioned itself in the US, a challenging market that is widely considered the Holy Grail for gaming and technology companies.

Robert Earle, CEO of UK-based 123gaming, said: “Players love our wagering and free play games because they are fun and easy to use. Winning this recognition from our peers in this industry is a major boost for our team who has worked extremely hard to make 123gaming a success.”
