If you are looking for an exciting day trip for your pupils that combines wildlife fun with hands-on experiences that will benefit their education, then why not look into booking your class into a Safari School session at Knowsley Safari Park.

Knowsley has a residential Education Department which runs a wide range of education sessions, all of which are National Curriculum, so your pupils can obtain knowledge that will aid their education, whilst having an unforgettable experience amongst the park’s animals.

The Safari Schools programme is available for those in all stages of education, from Foundation Level classes to Key Stage 3 pupils and those in Further Education. The students can learn about various different aspects of the safari park and how it is run, with topics including Endangered Animals, Food and Feeding, Variety of Life, Travel and Tourism, Marketing and Customer Care.

A wide range of schools across Merseyside and the wider North West England area have already benefitted from bringing their pupils into the Safari School at Knowsley Safari Park. As noted in Knowsley’s 2010 Education Survey, Bishop Martin C.E Primary School in Woolton, Liverpool said the Safari School was “always an excellent visit”, while “a brilliant day was had by all” from Lowercroft Primary School in Bury.

If it’s not convenient for you and your class to pay a visit to the safari park, then why not look into the “outreach programme”, where a member of Knowsley’s Education Department will come to your school and present a talk to your class, and maybe even show off some of the park’s animals.

The park is currently taking Safari School bookings for 2012, so ensure that you don’t miss out on a fun and interesting safari experience for your class by ringing the Education Department on 0151 430 9009, or you can find more information about the Safari Schools programme by visiting the Knowsley Safari Park website at http://www.knowsleysafariexperience.co.uk/.
