North West Commercial Property ’Tempting for Firms of all Sizes’, as European Market Continues to Recover

Companies considering moving into new office space in the near future should consider commercial property in the north west, according to one firm in the industry.

New research published by Cushman and Wakefield has shown that conditions in the European commercial property market have continued to improve over the past couple of months.

The report revealed how investment volumes increased in the third quarter of this year to €28.8 billion (£25.1 billion), representing a five per cent quarterly and 12.3 per cent annual rise.

However, investment in British commercial property slowed slightly at the start of October, with worries abound over the effect the eurozone debt crisis might have on the UK economy.

Despite this, Steve Widdowson, director at Macclesfield-based office space specialist Magnus, explained his firm continues to see high levels of interest in commercial property in the north west of England in the face of the bleak economic outlook.

He stated: “It’s good to see the European commercial property marketing going from strength to strength and hopefully the UK market will now follow suit. However, although economic conditions remain tough for many companies, we continue to get a multitude of enquiries from firms who want to build their business in the North West.”
