SeaChange’s On Demand Group Signs Landmark Deal with CABLEVISION to Develop Video-on-Demand Services in Mexico

LONDON & MEXICO CITY – SeaChange International’s (Nasdaq: SEAC) On Demand Group, the leading European video-on-demand (VOD) aggregator, has signed a landmark deal with CABLEVISION, Mexico’s leading cable provider, to manage its VOD services. The deal marks On Demand Group’s first fully operational move into Latin America and will include CABLEVISION’s transaction video-on-demand (TVOD) and subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) services.

On Demand Group specializes in the aggregation, content and service management of VOD services and is expert at working with operators and implementing marketing campaigns to maximize TVOD buying rates and SVOD subscribers and view rates. On Demand Group has successfully managed VOD and Pay Per View (PPV) services for major cable and telco operators including Virgin Media in the U.K., SFR in France, Kabel BW and Unity Media in Germany, OTE in Greece, TTNet in Turkey, and du in Dubai. The CABLEVISION service launch will mark the extension of On Demand Group’s reach to 19 platforms in 13 countries handling one billion VOD transactions per year in 10 languages.
