RYA Day Skipper Practical Course Gets New Boat - Nomad Sailing
October 7th, 2011 – London, UK – Nomad Sailing are excited about using their new boat on the RYA courses London, sailing courses Portsmouth and Day Skipper practical courses. Many people looking to learn to sail in London ask about the boat that they will be taught on and will be sleeping on; so Nomad Sailing have now put detailed information about Nomad 1 on their website.
Nomad 1 is the name of the new boat and it is a Jeanneu Sunfast 37, designed for comfort and speed in the water. This type of boat has won many awards including ‘Boat of the Year’ in the US. The Sunfast 37 is particularly popular with charter companies. Jim Barden, Co-Director of Nomad Sailing says “It’s a great boat for doing Day Skipper practical courses on because crew are able to appreciate the generous accommodation and experienced sailors can enjoy the powerful rig.”
Nomad 1 has been out of the water during the off season in order to carry out some refurbishments and some repairs. The original white leatherette has been replaced with a more comfortable blue cotton. The running rigging has been made of different colours to ensure line identification is easy and fast for people on the RYA Day Skipper courses. This will also make learning the ropes on the competent crew course much easier for people that do not yet know about rigging.
“Those wishing to take the RYA Day Skipper course will appreciate the powerful rig and get enjoyment out of the amazing speed of the Nomad 1”, according to Jim, Co-Director of Nomad Sailing.
