Easy-Fill Box Filler Leverages Technological Advances

The new Tong Peal Easy-Fill Box Filler is now manufactured with linear actuators controlling lowerators to reduce maintenance and improve efficiency.  A new easy-to-use pictorial control panel gives operators a better visual for equipment performance while Tong Peal’s unique ‘Door Stop’ belt with rubber fingers provides for gentle crop handling.  These rubber fingers eliminate the need for conventional curtain hoods.  One reversible crop conveyor with lowering end sections makes box filling ’easy’, fast and gentle, and with minimum drop. 

Air Knife Reduces Product Drying Time

New to the produce market and introduced by SGE is the Jongejans Air Knife.  Mounted over the drip band of the product rinsing machine, the Air Knife uses special guide blades with high pressure air at a high speed to dry the rinsed product.  Remaining water droplets clinging to the product are blasted away essentially making the product drip-dry.  With the Air Knife, drying time can be reduced by 50% which increases drying capacity and allows the reduction in fan usage and sponge drying table length.  As a result, disease spreading is minimized and energy costs are dramatically lowered. 

Innovative Weigher Delivers High Performance

SGE will showcase a new Upmann Weigher which has been designed to improve user-friendliness and increase processing efficiency.   The stainless steel Upmatic 2515 Weigher features high speed capability tailored to specific products run on the equipment.  For products weighing 2 pounds to 5 pounds, the average yield is 67 to 70 cycles per minute.  Weighing components have been designed for easy cleaning and accessibility for routine maintenance.  This equipment can be combined with the existing Upmatic 2402WB Bagger and Upmatic 3006 Clipper along with other Upmann equipment.
