LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., May 25, 2006 – Canon U.S.A, Inc., today announced that its Medical Systems Division has been awarded a contract from Consorta, Inc., to make Canon digital radiography (DR) solutions available to Consorta member facilities nationwide.

As part of the Agreement, Consorta will offer the Canon CXDI-31 and CXDI-50G portable DR flat panel sensors and CXDI-40EG general DR flat panel sensor for digital upgrades to members’ existing AMX-4 and Rad Room analog systems. Headquartered in Schaumberg, Ill., Consorta is a leading healthcare resource management and group purchasing organization with more than 2,400 care units across the country.
